Why fishnet photographs so well

Fishnet does something no solid fabric can: it throws a pattern of light and shadow onto skin. Under a ring light the net looks sharp and graphic, and in a mirror it adds texture to an otherwise plain shot. Keep the light about an arm length away. Too close and the pattern flattens, too far and it fades into gray.

Fishnet or mesh

Fishnet is open, with visible holes. Mesh is a fine closed weave that looks smooth and sheer. Layering ideas

A fishnet bodysuit is a base layer as much as a piece of its own. Wear it over a black set so the net frames the lingerie, under a leather look jacket for a night out, or with an O-Ring Harness Bra on top.
