The best lingerie for big breasts has structure where a bralette has none: underwire balconette and plunge cups, a three row hook band, wide adjustable straps and boned bustiers or corsets that carry weight from the waist. Every piece below is cut for a full bust in sizes M to 3X (bust 35 to 51 inches), costs $52 to $128 and ships in a plain box within 3 to 6 business days.

The guide
Support for a D cup and up
Busty lingerie fails in the same three places: cups with no wire that let the bust drop, a single hook band that rides up, and thin straps that dig in by the end of the night. The table sorts our full bust styles by how each one handles weight, so you can buy for support first and look second.
| Style | Our piece | Price | Why it works on a big bust |
|---|---|---|---|
| Balconette | Mirror Check Balconette Set | $72 | Underwire cups lift from below, horizontal neckline, convertible straps |
| Balconette with garter | Velvet Hour Set | $88 | Stretch velvet balconette plus a high waist garter belt with six clips |
| Plunge | Flash Plunge Set | $68 | Underwire plunge with a three row hook back that keeps the band level |
| Plunge three piece | Ring Light Lace Set | $78 | Dense scalloped lace on an underwire plunge, adjustable straps |
| Bustier | Lace Bustier Top | $84 | Boned body spreads the weight from bust to waist, balconette cups |
| Sheer bustier | Sheer Mesh Bustier | $78 | Underwire cups and soft boning, looks sheer and still supports |
| Overbust corset | Satin Overbust Corset | $128 | Sixteen steel bones and a lace up back, no straps needed |
| Babydoll | Sheer Babydoll | $52 | Underwire lace bust with a floaty skirt, the softest option that still lifts |
If you buy one piece, start with a balconette. It is the cup most full bust fitters recommend for lingerie because the wire carries the weight and the low, wide neckline shows shape without spilling over the top.
The best lingerie for big breasts is underwired and structured: balconette and plunge bras, boned bustiers, overbust corsets and babydolls with an underwire bust. These styles lift from below and spread weight across a firm band, so the bust stays in place in every pose, while a wire free triangle or bralette leaves it unsupported.
Look at the band before the cups. A band with two or three rows of hooks stays level around the ribs, and that band does most of the lifting, not the straps. Our Flash Plunge Set has a three row hook back for exactly this reason. Straps come second: on the Mirror Check Balconette Set they are convertible, so you can cross them at the back for more hold or set them straight for a wider neckline in photos.
Lace density matters more on a full bust than on a small one. Thin lace stretches over a large cup and goes see through in patches, while the scalloped lace on the Ring Light Lace Set is dense enough to keep its pattern.
A balconette suits most big busts, especially if your breasts are fuller at the bottom or sit wider apart: the cups lift from below and the neckline runs straight across. A plunge suits a bust that is fuller at the top or close set, because the low center pulls the cups together for cleavage without the top edge cutting in.
Try both shapes in the mirror before a shoot or a night out. The balconette reads as lifted and rounded from the front; the plunge reads longer and lower, and it pairs well with a deep V bodysuit or a chemise on top. The Open Gusset Lace Set is a lace balconette at $54 if you want to test the shape before buying a three piece.
You can, but most bralettes are designed around an A to C cup, so on a D cup and up they flatten the bust and give almost no lift. If you love the soft look, layer instead: a sheer bustier or a babydoll with an underwire bust gives the same light, see through effect with real support underneath.
The Sheer Mesh Bustier is the closest thing we sell to a supportive bralette. It is sheer mesh with soft boning and underwire cups and a hook and eye back, so it looks delicate on camera and still holds. For bed and lounging shots the Satin Plunge Teddy has lace cups and adjustable straps, and the Satin Slip Chemise is cut on the bias so it drapes over a full bust instead of pulling flat.
Yes. An overbust corset is one of the most supportive pieces a busty woman can wear, because the steel bones hold the bust from the waist up and nothing hangs from the shoulders. Choose a sweetheart neckline, which follows the curve of a full bust, and lace it firm at the waist and slightly looser across the chest.
The Satin Overbust Corset has sixteen steel bones, a front busk you can close alone and a modesty panel under the laces. If you would rather keep your own bra, the Underbust Lace Corset stops below the bust and shapes the waist with twelve spiral steel bones, which makes a full bust look even more defined. For a large bust corset paired with stockings, add a Lace Garter Belt, and see all structured styles on our corsets and bustier tops page.
We size lingerie by letter, not by band and cup, so buy by your full bust measurement. Measure over bare skin at the fullest point, keep the tape level around the back and compare it with the chart: M fits a 35 to 36 inch bust, L 37 to 39, XL 40 to 42, 1X 43 to 45, 2X 46 to 48 and 3X 49 to 51.
If your bust and waist fall in different sizes, choose sets and bustiers by the bust and teddies and bodysuits by the larger of bust and hips. Between two sizes in an underwire set, take the larger one, so the wire sits behind the breast tissue rather than on it. Our size guide also has a band and cup table if you want to check the bra size you wear now.
An honest note: letter sizing fits most D, DD and DDD cups well, but a very full cup on a small band (G and above on a 30 to 34 band) needs a bra made in that exact size. In that case our corsets and stretch lace bodysuits are the better buy, because they fit by torso and waist. Every piece here ships inside the US in a plain box in 3 to 6 business days, shipping is free over $95, and an unopened piece can be exchanged once within 30 days.
